Our commitment: your data stays yours.

The Big Rideau Lake Association will never sell, share, or disclose your personal information to any third party. Membership data exists solely to serve our community, and access is strictly limited to authorized BRLA administrators.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the BRLA Member Management System, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the system. Use of this system is limited to authorized members and administrators of the Big Rideau Lake Association.

2. Authorized Use

This system is provided exclusively for:

  • Managing BRLA membership records
  • Internal administration by authorized BRLA board members and staff
  • Communicating with members on Association matters

Any use of this system for personal gain, unauthorized data collection, or any purpose unrelated to BRLA administration is strictly prohibited.

3. Data Confidentiality — No Exceptions

Member data accessed through this system is strictly confidential.

As a user of this system, you agree that you will not:

  • Share, export, copy, or disclose member information to any person outside of the authorized BRLA administration
  • Use member contact information for any purpose other than official BRLA communications
  • Sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer member data to any third party under any circumstances
  • Use member data for personal marketing, solicitation, or commercial purposes
  • Retain copies of member data after your authorization to access the system ends

Violation of these data confidentiality obligations may result in immediate revocation of access and potential legal action.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Access is granted through Google Sign-In — do not share your credentials or allow others to access the system through your account. Report any suspected unauthorized access to the BRLA board immediately. You are responsible for all actions taken under your account.

5. Data Accuracy

Users with administrative access are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date member records. Deliberately entering false, misleading, or harmful information about members is prohibited.

6. System Access

The BRLA reserves the right to grant, suspend, or revoke access to this system at any time without notice. Access is a privilege, not a right, and is contingent on compliance with these terms and ongoing authorization by the BRLA board.

7. No Warranty

This system is provided "as is" for the internal use of the Big Rideau Lake Association. The BRLA makes no warranties regarding uptime, data availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the system but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

9. Changes to These Terms

The BRLA reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the system following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
